Sweet Pea at Venice Piazza at McKinley Hill was a nice surprise. My-oh-my they had a hefty menu! I had a hard time choosing what to eat because everything looked delicious. Mustard salmon fish was enormous! I must've gained 5 pounds from the sauce-rich lasagna. I super loved the hawaiian potato salad! Please forgive me for using the words "delicious" and "love" so many times in this post. I'm still in food heaven right now.
If you’re craving for American comfort food, order the baby back barbecue at Sweet Pea, the new concept restaurant of chef Florabel Co. The half rack of beef is grilled tender and tangy. A bed of greens, yellow rice and corn cob round out this satisfying treat. Sweet Pea is at the ground floor, The Venice Piazza, McKinley Hill, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.
It was just a spur of the moment decision since we want to try something new. And there it was, Sweet Pea: A Chef’s Kitchen – waiting for us. Were we disappointed? Certainly not. Sweet Pea: A Chef’s Kitchen is your typical gourmet restaurant. Sweet Pea’s Quesadilla quite unique is the side dip that came with it. There’s this green pate which I’m pretty sure is avocado.
I dare say the salmon at Sweet Pea was better than the one at Shangri La’s Heat, and is one of the better salmon dishes we’ve had to date. The pasta dish on the other hand was satisfaction on a plate: the fish (sole?) was crispy on the outside but was kept perfectly moist inside. The sauce I would describe as marinara and not puttanesca but hey, it tasted good, so no complaints here. Very, very filling indeed…

I like it coz it feels like home. Big serving, lotsa meat.
The food – even the so-called short orders – is simply marvelous
